Farmer’s Market Season is here!

The countdown begins, as we are shy under two weeks to opening day at The Lents International Farmer’s Market (LIFM), where The Urban Acre Homestead will be vending from June 5th to October 30th. The market will run from 9am-2pm every Sunday. Formerly a project of Zenger Farm, the LIFM market joins the ranks of markets hosted by Portland Farmer’s Market (PFM) this year, just in time for their 25th anniversary season! Watch their website for celebratory news including a Portland Farmers Market cookbook launch, dining series, and a grand event at the legendary PSU Market. Additionally, you can find news on what’s in season at the market, great recipe ideas, and featured vendors. I’m very excited to be vending at a PFM this year, and hope you’ll support an organization that supports farmers!

Here’s what you can expect at the Lents International Farmers Market this season:

• All vendors will be accepting Senior and WIC vouchers for the Farm Direct Nutrition Program, as well as market currency the new Double Up Food Bucks matching funds program.
• Lots of activities to keep you and yours busy, including food demos, live music and kids activities.
• A Street Fair on Sunday, July 31st! A celebratory boost to our market day with more vendors, more music and more fun!
